if you will send me at once manuscript of "Professor Bernhard",
and I will either write you within one week of its receipt or es-

The Graft for $300.00 advance upon royalties of "Anatol"
is going to you under separate cover. There is only one com-
pany playing "Anatol" at the present moment in America.
The royalties to Mr.awker are paid to him directly
by Mr. Ames. Mr. Larker's receives, so Mr. Ames informe me,
very excellent royalties owing to the fact that Mr. Ame¬ prefer-
red his.translation to the translation] made and paid for by him to
Langdon Mitohell, as well as the translations made by me, and
paid for by me by Mrs. Dorenus, Mrs. Michell and John Severance.
Mr. Amea does not feel in position to revealed the amount of
royalties which havebeen paid to Mr. Larker.
I regret to state that the matter of Mr.Maurice Browne
in Chicago has not yet been settled. Mr. Browne is standing
out for all kinds of impossible conditions, such as confining
Mr. Amen to two weeks performances of the play in Chicago.
